Highlights of the Virudhunagar District

Ranked in 17th place in the term of high population among the districts
The district is divided into 2 revenue divisions comprising of four taluks each. The aruppukkotai revenue division comprised kariapatti, Tiruchulli, Aruppukkottai, and Virudhunagar taluks, and Sivakasi revenue division include Sattur, Sivakasi, srivilliputur, Rajapalayam, taluks. There are 7 Municipalities, 11 community development blocks, 9 Town Panchayats, 28 census towns and 570 Revenue villages (475 inhabited)
